General Class Descriptions

Below are some general descriptions of our classes we plan to offer. At this time, not every class listed below is offered and this is manly do to the lack of qualified instructors for that particular class. If you know of a certified instructor that you feel would be a good fit for one of the classes or someone who teaches a different class that we do not have, please have them contact us, we would be glad to hear from them. Hatha Yoga

Hatha YogaHatha yoga is the most commonly practiced style of yoga in the United States today. Hatha yoga is a low-impact exercise for the body and mind. It combines different asanas, or postures, with a deep breathing technique called pranayama to promote flexibility, balance and relaxation.

Zumba Fitness

Zumba FitnessAre you ready to party yourself into shape? That’s exactly what the Zumba® program is all about. It’s an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party™ that’s moving millions of people toward joy and health.

Tai-Chi

Tai-ChiTai chi emphasizes complete relaxation, and is essentially a form of meditation, or what has been called "meditation in motion." Unlike the hard martial arts, tai chi is characterized by soft, slow, flowing movements that emphasize force, rather than brute strength. Though it is soft, slow, and flowing, the movements are executed precisely.

Step Training

Stepper ClassStep training is a low impact form of exercise that involves music, a platform ranging from 4-8 inches in height, and movements utilizing the large muscle groups of your body. Step aerobics provide a fairly intense workout, but the intensity can be modified to accommodate individuals of most fitness and ability levels. 

Stability Ball Class

Ball ClassDesigned to instruct you on how to work out using an exercise ball to improve the strength and endurance of your abdominal and back muscles. However, the biggest benefit to training using ball exercises is that they are very effective at targeting core muscles, those muscles that are essential for stability and good posture.

Body Sculpting

Body SculptingBody Sculpting is a strength training workout that combines flexibility and cardiovascular conditioning using just one set of 3 to 8 pound set of dumbbells. Body Sculpting is designed to shape and tone the body without building muscular size or bulk.

 

Pilates

PilatesPilates is a body conditioning routine that seeks to build flexibility, strength, endurance, and coordination without adding muscle bulk.  Indeed, one of the best things about the Pilates method is that it works so well for a wide range of people. Athletes and dancers love it, as do seniors, women rebounding from pregnancy, and people who at various stages of physical rehabilitation.

Belly Dancing

Qi-GongBelly dancing, traditionally danced barefoot is uniquely designed for the female body, with an emphasis on abdominal muscles, hip moves, and chest moves. It is firm and earthy, with bare feet connected to the ground. It is a dance characterized by smooth, flowing, complex, and sensual movements of the torso, alternated with shaking and shimmy type moves.

Kick Boxing

Kick BoxingMix up your routine with the balance, coordination and strength building moves of boxing or kick boxing while burning 300-600* calories. These high-intensity classes are a great full body workout, incorporating a broad range of punches and athletic drills. No matter which group boxing class you choose, training like this will physically prepare you for whatever punches life throws your way

Online Calendar

We give you the ability to register for classes at your convienence.  By going to our online calendar of classes you can view classes and times, register for a class, see who the instructor is and more.

We offer the ability to take as many classes as you would like, try different classes to see what you have been missing all for an unbelievable price of $30 dollars for 30 days Unlimited Classes.  Of course you can pay per class if you like.  Pay online or call 30 minutes prior to the start of the class and only pay $6 dollars.  Wait and pay at the door $8.00 per class.

Don't Overdo It

Are you in pain but still pushing through your workout? That’s a problem. If you’re hurt, you shouldn’t be working out. And trust that if you’re stubborn on this issue, your body won’t be in the best shape during your golden years. Don’t exercise through pain!
